In this vital role, you will provide support with daily living activities, ensure safety, and promote independence for residents in a home or community setting. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will help create a warm, respectful environment where each individual feels valued and cared for. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Support medication administration following care plans and ensure proper documentation of all patient care activities Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and sanitation tasks in compliance with health standards Implement specialized care protocols for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or other developmental disabilities; provide memory care and hospice support as needed Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow personalized care plans that promote residents' comfort and safety Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, patient monitoring, and vital signs measurement Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, HIPAA compliance training are required; additional certifications in Alzheimer's care or dementia support are advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts Strong communication skills to effectively work with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Experience working with seniors or individuals requiring long-term care; familiarity with hospice or home health services is a plus Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered caregiving that enhances quality of life Join us in delivering exceptional home care that transforms lives!
