Job Description
Job Overview Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals needing assistance within their own homes. This energetic and rewarding position involves providing personalized care, supporting daily activities, and ensuring safety and comfort for clients of all ages and needs. Your dedication will help promote independence, dignity, and well-being in a nurturing environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing changes in condition, including dementia or Alzheimer's care needs Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with meal planning and cooking Administer medications accurately following care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe transfers and mobility support Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment Document care activities meticulously, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams or family members Experience Prior experience working in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Hands-on experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care or hospice care is a strong plus Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism enhances your ability to provide comprehensive support Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in HIPAA compliance and patient safety is advantageous Experience with heavy lifting or using assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts ensures safe handling of residents requiring extra support A background in social work or long-term care provides a solid foundation for understanding diverse client needs Join us to make a meaningful difference every day!
