Flint Position Type:
Part-time | Hourly Accepting applications until April 13, 2026. Wellspring Lutheran Services is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a Family Coach to join our Mercy House program in Flint. In this position, you'll be directly supporting your community in Genesee county. Responsibilities Guide resident interactions to promote positive, respectful relationships and establishing a climate in which the residents feel safe and secure. Communicate, engage, and positively interact with residents throughout the shift. Ensure families are complying with program guidelines and procedures. Redirect behavior patiently, consistently, and in accordance with agency practices. Provide teaching and role modeling related to daily living skills. This includes meal preparation, room cleaning, laundry, hygiene, and age-appropriate parenting skills. Prepare required written reports regarding resident activity; Complete all agency logs and incident reports in a timely manner. Assess family's needs and offer assistance in every manner practical. Monitors family's behavior. Follows all policies and procedures of the organization. Review policy & guidelines with clients at time of entrance. Prepare rooms for families. Facilitates sleeping arrangements and storage of personal items. Qualifications High School diploma or GED, preferred. Experience working with children and families experiencing homelessness. Reliable, responsible, and compassionate approach to supporting families. Strong conflict management and escalation skills.Schedule and Compensation Employment Type:

Afternoon shift with on-call and weekend availability as needed.Weekends/On-Call:
Participation in the rotating on-call schedule, required.Pay rate:
