Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Midnight Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents during overnight hours. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to individuals with diverse needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night. This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your caregiving skills and attention to detail truly shine. Whether assisting with daily activities or monitoring health status, your efforts will help residents enjoy restful nights and improved quality of life. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, reporting findings accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Administer medications following prescribed schedules and protocols with strict adherence to safety standards Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies Support residents during nighttime routines, ensuring their comfort and safety through regular checks and responding promptly to calls or needs Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control practices in personal care areas Document all care activities thoroughly, including medication administration, vital signs, and incident reports, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory support techniques Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring long-term care support Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and record keeping Hands-on experience with vital signs measurement, medication administration, and use of assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts Background in senior care or personal care homes that emphasizes compassionate caregiving and resident-centered service Valid driver's license is a plus for providing community-based support or transportation assistance This rewarding role is perfect for caring professionals eager to provide overnight support that enhances residents' lives.
