Job Description
Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by offering personalized care and companionship. This position requires a strong commitment to helping others, as well as the ability to work with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' well-being. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor vital signs when necessary. Support individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care needs. Maintain cleanliness in living areas and assist with light housekeeping duties. Document care provided using EMR systems and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate staff. Utilize assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts when necessary to ensure safe transfers. Engage residents in social activities and promote their independence while ensuring safety. Medication passing Skills Proficiency in first aid and CPR techniques. Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings. Familiarity with caregiving practices for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and social work principles is a plus. Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members. Experience working in group homes or personal care homes is desirable. Capability to handle cleaning tasks while maintaining a safe environment for residents.
