Job Description

1099 position, Candidate must be able to drive highways to get the patient to and from appointments also experience with colostomy bag management required. Job Overview Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. This energetic role involves providing attentive, respectful, and comprehensive assistance to clients in their homes or community settings. You will be a vital part of enhancing independence, safety, and well-being for those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness. Your dedication will help create a nurturing environment where clients feel valued and empowered every day. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA privacy standards Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding as needed Administer medications safely following care plans and document medication administration accurately Support clients with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care strategies for conditions like Alzheimer's disease and dementia Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment Provide companionship and emotional support to foster social engagement and mental well-being Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures to ensure client safety at all times Qualifications Prior experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication management, and care planning processes Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, neurodevelopmental disorders, or intellectual disabilities support is preferred Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts safely Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy and confidentiality Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications in dementia care or hospice care are a plus Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often necessary for community-based services Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly improve lives!
