Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Part-Time Caregiver / Companion Care (Day Shift) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, companionship, and support to enhance independence and quality of life. This position offers an energetic, rewarding environment where your dedication and caregiving skills will truly shine. You will work closely with residents or clients in home, community, or assisted living settings, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being during daytime hours. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote dignity and independence. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability. Support medication administration following prescribed schedules and protocols to ensure safety. Engage residents in social activities, conversation, and recreational pursuits to foster mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning common areas and personal spaces. Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities accurately and promptly. Operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or assist with transfers to prevent injury and promote mobility. Drive clients when needed for appointments or errands, ensuring safe transportation. Follow care plans tailored to individual needs, including Alzheimer's or dementia-specific strategies for memory care. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, or family members to coordinate comprehensive care. Qualifications Prior experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly preferred. Knowledge of First Aid and CPR certification is advantageous. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is desirable. Familiarity with vital signs measurement, medication administration, and behavior management techniques. Ability to assist with ADLs safely and compassionately while maintaining resident dignity. Strong communication skills for engaging with residents and team members effectively. Valid driver's license preferred for transportation duties; reliable vehicle is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a caregiving environment.
