Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Non Medical Home Caregiver/Home Help to provide essential support to individuals in their homes and community settings. This role is vital in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for clients who require assistance with daily activities. As a caregiver, you will deliver personalized care that enhances quality of life while fostering a warm, respectful environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and noting changes in condition; report findings to healthcare professionals as needed Provide medication reminders and support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices; perform heavy lifting when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces Document care activities accurately, update care plans regularly, and ensure compliance with all health and safety standards including HIPAA regulations Requirements Previous experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes preferred Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, hospice care, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and knowledge of patient observation techniques are highly desirable Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans; excellent communication skills required Physical ability to perform tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals' independence and well-being Join our team to provide vital caregiving services that truly make a difference!
