Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our special need clients by delivering personalized care and support in various settings, including home care, memory care, and community-based environments. Your commitment to fostering independence and dignity will make a significant difference in the lives of those you serve. Responsibilities Assist special needs clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting their mental well-being. Along with participating in activities of their choosing. Monitor special need clients' physical and emotional health, reporting any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and progress made towards care goals. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care. Assist with mobility and transportation needs as required. Participate in training sessions on special needs clients to enhance skills related to direct support, first aid, and case management. Requirements Previous experience in specialized residential group homes, caring for special need clients, home care, memory care, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of medication administration procedures is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Ability to follow detailed care plans while adapting to changing client needs. Familiarity with direct support systems and case management practices is a plus. Certification in first aid or CPR is highly desirable.
