Senior & Assisted Living Caregiver

Caregiver (Part-Time) Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to provide personal care and support to our residents. This role focuses on promoting a home-like environment where residents and their families are actively involved in the care planning process. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent OR Minimum of 1 year of experience providing direct care to the geriatric population under the supervision of an LPN or RN Reports To Administrator Shift Supervisor Key Responsibilities Resident Care Provide personal care in accordance with individualized service plans Assist with: Bathing (shower, tub, bed bath) Dressing and grooming (hair care, shaving, oral care) Toileting and incontinence care Feeding and hydration, including documentation Ambulation and transfers (including mechanical lifts) Monitor and report: Changes in condition Weight fluctuations Signs of injury or neglect Measure and document vital signs, intake/output, and food intake as required Resident Interaction & Support Approach residents respectfully and explain care before providing it Support residents' cultural, emotional, and spiritual needs Encourage participation in activities and social engagement Assist with behavioral support as needed Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and rights at all times Safety & Compliance Follow all facility policies and procedures Report incidents immediately (falls, injuries, changes in condition) Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA Follow safety protocols (infection control, fire safety, etc.) Ensure proper use and reporting of equipment Facility Support Duties Assist with dining services (meal prep, serving, clean-up) Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks Maintain clean and safe work areas Participate in activities with residents and families Team Participation Attend staff meetings and required trainings Participate in performance improvement initiatives Complete assigned continuing education and online training Maintain professionalism and ethical standards Physical Requirements Standing and walking: Constant (67-100% of shift)
