Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as an Overnight Caregiver/Home Help professional, where your dedication makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide vital support during nighttime hours, ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being for individuals with diverse care needs. Whether assisting seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those in hospice or memory care, you'll be at the forefront of delivering personalized, respectful care in a warm and supportive environment. Your expertise will help create a peaceful and secure night-time experience for residents and clients alike. Responsibilities Monitor residents' health and safety throughout the night by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition using established care plans. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting, mobility support, medication reminders, and hygiene tasks to ensure comfort and dignity. Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in condition by following protocols such as CPR or first aid procedures when necessary. Prepare nutritious meals or snacks aligned with individual dietary needs and preferences, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. Conduct thorough cleaning duties to uphold a safe, hygienic environment within the residence or facility. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges. Document all observations, interventions, and incidents accurately while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Experience Prior experience in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Hands-on experience with patient monitoring, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and creating or following care plans. Familiarity with emergency procedures such as CPR and first aid certification is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts effectively. Strong background in working within HIPAA guidelines ensures confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
