The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through personalized care and support. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients, and fostering a positive environment. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation Administer medications as prescribed and monitor vital signs Provide companionship and emotional support to residents Implement behavior management strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia Maintain cleanliness and organization in living spaces Utilize Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids to assist residents with mobility challenges Document care provided using EMR systems accurately Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans Experience Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, or long-term care settings is preferred Familiarity with memory care practices and Alzheimer's care is a plus Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in group home environments is beneficial Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency protocols is essential A background in social work or direct support roles will be considered an asset Valid driver's license may be required for positions involving transportation of clients We invite you to join our team of dedicated professionals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of those we serve.
