Duties Mow lawns using power tools such as riding mowers, push mowers, and trimmers to achieve precise, attractive grass lengths. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including edging, pruning, planting, and weed control to enhance the overall appearance of outdoor spaces. Operate hand tools and power equipment like shovels, rakes, blowers, and hedge trimmers safely and efficiently. Assist with irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering and plant health. Conduct tree care activities such as trimming and pruning to promote safety and aesthetic appeal. Support snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients. Maintain tools and equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge for operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining landscaping machinery and hand tools. Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening environments. Familiarity with landscaping techniques including hardscape installation (e.g., patios, walkways) and horticulture practices. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators safely when needed for construction or landscape projects. Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and health assessment. Skilled in the use of power tools for various landscaping tasks with attention to safety protocols.
