Job Description

The Grace House Adult Day Program is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and energetic Caregiver/Program Assistant to support older adults in a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving seniors, promoting independence, and helping participants enjoy meaningful daily experiences. Responsibilities Assist participants with daily activities and engagement programs. Provide companionship and emotional support to participants. Help facilitate recreational activities, games, music therapy, and group discussions. Assist with meal and snack service. Monitor participant well-being and report concerns to supervisors. Encourage social interaction and participation in scheduled activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Assist with participant check-in and check-out procedures. Support special events, outings, and family engagement activities. Follow all program policies and procedures regarding participant care and safety. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or in a caregiving role preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate, patient, and dependable. CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Ability to pass a background check. Desired Qualities Positive attitude and professional demeanor. Genuine passion for serving older adults. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to create a warm and engaging atmosphere for participants and their families. Must be able to lift, transfer, push, or pull up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
