Job Description
The job of a Latchkey Caregiver was established for the purpose/s of providing supervision in a wellrounded before and after school Latchkey program for preschool and school-aged children in a daycare setting.

- PM District Floater (Placed where needed): 3:30pm-5:30pm

Probationary Pay Rate:
$16.55/hr. After 45 worked days rate increases to $16.65/hr.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or its equivalent. Must have basic skills assessment, pertinent to position qualifications, at 70%. Selected candidates will be contacted for testing if requirements are not on file with the district. First Aid and CPR Certification required within the first 90 days of hire. Negative Tb test required.
Basic Responsibilities:
- Administer first aid to children as may be required for the purpose of meeting immediate health care needs.
- Assist children (e.g. help with breakfast, snacks, lunch, homework, etc.) for the purpose of providing appropriate care.
- Maintain child care facilities for the purpose of providing a safe environment for children.
- Maintains work areas (e.g. tables, equipment, toys, etc.) for the purpose of providing a sanitary environment.
- Organize and supervise indoor/outdoor activities for the purpose of providing a safe environment for children.
- Perform record keeping (e.g. accident reports, behavior observations, etc.) for the purpose of fulfilling the requirements of the program.
- Receive and deliver children directly from/to parents or designee by maintaining in/out times for the purpose of providing a safe environment for children and meeting district requirements.
- Refer children for disciplinary reasons to parent, program supervisor or building administrator for the purpose of maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
- Maintain regular personal attendance and punctuality for the purpose of ensuring efficient delivery of services to the District.
- Occasionally assist other personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
