In this vital role, you will provide support to residents with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other health conditions. Your energy and commitment will help foster a safe, respectful, and engaging environment where residents can thrive. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while working in a rewarding and dynamic setting. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare teams Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal service to promote proper nutrition Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adherence to infection control protocols Support residents' social engagement by facilitating activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training are required or highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs as needed Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, Alzheimer's disease or dementia is a plus Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and engage compassionately with residents Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight hours Join us in providing exceptional care that enriches lives!
