Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Home Care Caregiver - (Homemaker), where your dedication and skills will directly enhance the quality of life for individuals needing support in their daily routines. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensure a safe and clean environment, and foster independence for clients across various care settings. Your energetic and caring approach will help create a warm, supportive atmosphere that promotes health, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper food safety standards are maintained Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organization to maintain a safe and welcoming environment Monitor residents' health by observing vital signs, noting changes in condition, and reporting concerns promptly to healthcare professionals Support clients with medication reminders and adherence in accordance with care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Engage clients in social activities or companionship to foster mental stimulation and emotional well-being Requirements Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care, autism support, and hospice care practices Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or nursing assistant credentials are a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when necessary Strong communication skills with an understanding of patient care protocols and care plans Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is advantageous A compassionate attitude combined with reliability, patience, and attention to detail Join us in delivering exceptional home health care that empowers individuals to live comfortably and independently. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
