Job Description
Overview Join our compassionate team as a Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. This vital role involves providing attentive, respectful, and personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Working in a home like setting, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, ensuring our individuals receive the highest quality of care with dignity and respect. This position offers an positive energy environment where your dedication directly impacts lives every day. The starting wage will be based off EXPERIENCE, however, experience is not required as we train all staff in-house. We currently have a part time DAY position and a part time EVENING position. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report changes promptly Support medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for privacy and confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and infection control practices Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe transfers and mobility support Observe and document patient conditions, behaviors, and progress; communicate effectively any concerns or changes Provide emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness or anxiety among our individuals Follow all safety protocols including First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies Support residents' participation in social activities to promote mental stimulation and community engagement Collaborate with other caregivers, nurses, and family members Skills Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's), hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities in general Ability to perform lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; physical stamina required Familiarity with medication administration procedures following prescribed instructions Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate documentation of vital signs, care plans, incident reports, and patient progress Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times Ability to handle multiple responsibilities calmly in fast-paced environments while maintaining compassion and professionalism Basic nursing skills including vital signs monitoring and patient care procedures This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about providing exceptional care.
