Direct Care Staff (DCS)

Job Summary:

Phyxius Inc. is seeking compassionate, dedicated Direct Care Staff to work in a group home setting, supporting individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Mental Illness. This role involves providing care and assistance to clients, including those with physical aggression and challenging behaviors, to help them achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and support to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Mental Illness. Assist with daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, cleaning and medication management. Support clients in managing behaviors, including implementing behavior support plans and de-escalation strategies. Promote a safe and therapeutic environment through routine care, housekeeping, and engaging activities. Advocate for clients, encouraging them to achieve personal growth and goals. Document daily activities, incidents, and progress while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance. Participate in crisis intervention and physical restraints when necessary to ensure safety. Qualifications:

A compassionate and professional approach to care. Ability to work with clients exhibiting physical aggression and challenging behaviors. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Must be able to pass a background check. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred. Experience in healthcare or with individuals with disabilities is a plus but not required - we provide training!

Benefits:

Competitive pay starting at $17-$22.70 per hour. Paid orientation and training. Flexible schedule. Paid time off.

Schedule:

Shifts may include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, as our group homes operate 24/7/365.
