Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. In this vital role, you will promote independence, ensure safety, and enhance the quality of life for those in your care. Your energetic and positive approach will help create a warm, respectful environment where residents or clients feel valued and supported. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive, personalized care. Duties Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to promote independence and dignity. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; report any concerns promptly. Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry, and ensuring proper sanitation standards are met. Support residents or clients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Use equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely during transfers; assist with heavy lifting as required. Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations; participate in developing and updating personalized care plans. Provide emotional support and companionship to foster social engagement and mental well-being. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and social workers to deliver comprehensive home & community care. Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, or group home settings is highly preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or autism spectrum disorders. Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring is essential. Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and meal preparation efficiently. Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate attitude toward residents' needs. Physical stamina for activities involving standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects safely, and assisting with mobility tasks.
