Our Float Companion Caregiver serves as a flexible support team member who can assist with scheduled client visits, provide coverage for missed shifts or call-ins, and step in wherever support is needed most. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, highly reliable, and naturally solutions-oriented. They enjoy thinking on their feet, solving problems, and bringing a positive attitude into every home and client interaction. Whether providing companionship, assisting with daily routines, running errands, offering emotional support, or helping maintain continuity of care during unexpected staffing needs, this individual plays a critical role in ensuring our clients feel supported, comfortable, and cared for. Duties Assists clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and mobility. Accompanies patients to medical appointments and assists with errands, including grocery shopping, to support daily needs and enhance quality of life. Assist with light housekeeping including laundry, vacuuming, etc. Ensures patients have easily accessible meals and assists in meal preparation. Monitors patients for changes in physical and mental health changes and communicates with the practice manager. Maintain accurate records of client care, daily activities, and observations. Plan and engage in meaningful activities to encourage social interaction and mental stimulation. Collaborate with family members and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care. Additional job duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience in direct patient care. CNA license or EMT license is beneficial but not necessary. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Ability to do extensive bending, lifting, and standing on a regular basis. Ability to pass an FSCR background check.
