Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care, companionship, and daily living support. In this vital role, you will help enhance the quality of life for residents or clients by delivering personalized care with kindness, patience, and professionalism. Your efforts will foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment where individuals can thrive physically, emotionally, and socially. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working in a supportive team environment. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area. Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges. Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare standards. Engage residents or clients through meaningful activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Hands-on experience with patient monitoring, medication administration, vital signs collection, and developing or following care plans. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or nursing assistant credentials are a plus. Experience using caregiving tools like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills for working compassionately with seniors or individuals with disabilities while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers.
