Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized support and care. We are seeking warm, empathetic and compassionate caregivers to assist our families. This vital role involves providing attentive, respectful, and comprehensive assistance to promote independence, safety, and well-being within clients' homes. Whether supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those managing chronic conditions, you'll be a trusted partner in their daily routines and health management. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to deliver high-quality home care while fostering meaningful relationships and promoting dignity. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as required, ensuring safety and compliance with care plans. Medication reminders following prescribed schedules while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medication administration protocols. Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care strategies and personalized engagement activities. Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents in accordance with home health standards. Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment to promote overall well-being. Qualifications Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and dementia or Alzheimer's care. Ability to assist with mobility using manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts; gait belt usage; capable of heavy lifting when necessary. Familiarity with care plans, HIPAA compliance, and documentation standards for patient privacy and safety. Strong skills in meal preparation, personal hygiene assistance, and supporting residents' needs in accordance with individual care requirements. Experience supporting seniors or individuals with intellectual disabilities within community or home environments is highly desirable. CPR/First Aid certification preferred; willingness to obtain relevant certifications if not already held. Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving; ability to work independently while following established protocols.
