The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a strong commitment to resident rights and the ability to manage various behavioral and emotional needs. Duties Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities. Help with meal preparation and feeding as necessary. Support clients in mobility and transportation, including driving when required. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and organized. Monitor client behavior and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel. Implement behavior management strategies as needed, particularly for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy and dignity at all times. Assist with medication reminders and basic health monitoring. Experience Previous experience in social work or home care is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus. Familiarity with long-term care settings is beneficial. Certification in first aid is desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. A valid driver's license is required for transportation duties.
