The ideal candidate can have experience in various healthcare settings, including clinics, hospitals, and outpatient facilities, and possess a strong background in geriatrics or related fields. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve in the comfort of their own homes. Caregiver must be willing to work every other weekend. Location can be in Saint Louis City, Saint Louis County, and Saint Charles County Missouri. We do not Guarantee hours. You would be hired as PRN as needed staff. We strongly prefer those to apply that are open to driving clients to run errands. Please be able to log into a Zoom account for orientation online strongly preferred. CPR certified strongly preferred. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Medication management as prescribed and monitor clients' health status. Help with mobility and physical exercises to maintain strength and flexibility. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress. Document care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions promptly. Be able to use a sit to stand or hyper lift or be willing to learn. Provide Transportation for grocery store, laundry mat, doctors appointments strongly preferred Experience Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related healthcare role is preferred. Experience in geriatrics or within teaching hospitals is highly desirable. Knowledge of care protocols for various conditions, including those requiring specialized attention such as MS is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families are essential.
