Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Attendant, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, promote independence, and ensure the safety and well-being of residents or clients across various care settings. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help create a warm, respectful environment that fosters dignity and quality of life. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support medication administration under supervision and adhere to prescribed care plans to ensure safe and effective treatment Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal service to promote healthy eating habits Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards by performing light cleaning duties in resident rooms and common areas Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Document patient observations, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, autism support, and hospice or palliative care practices Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs when needed Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Excellent communication skills for working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges CPR and First Aid certification preferred; ongoing training in patient safety is a plus Join us in providing compassionate caregiving that enriches lives! Pay:
$21.69 - $26.12 per hour
