Job Description

Weston, MO:
Home Instead is looking for experienced caregivers in the Weston, MO area. We are seeking individuals with some weekend availability to ensure consistent, high-quality care for the aging adults we serve.
Job Summary:
The Home Instead Care Pro provides compassionate, high-quality, in-home care to older adults, enabling them to live safely and comfortably at home. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping others, building relationships, and making a difference in the lives of seniors. Care Pros assist clients with daily activities, companionship, and personal care needs while ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities Personal Care Services:
Provide hands-on assistance to help clients maintain independence and comfort, including: Assist with personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral care) Provide incontinence care and toileting assistance Offer mobility assistance, including help with walking and transferring (from bed, chair, or wheelchair) Assist with eating and drinking as needed Provide medication reminders and monitor for side effects Deliver specialized care for clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other cognitive conditions
Companionship and Emotional Support:
Enhance the client's emotional and social well-being by: Offering meaningful conversation and emotional support Engaging clients in stimulating activities (e.g., hobbies, games, crafts) Encouraging and assisting with social outings and appointments Assisting with clothing selection and personal appearance Helping clients maintain a sense of independence and dignity
Home Support Services:
Help clients maintain a safe and comfortable living environment by: Performing light housekeeping (e.g., dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, laundry) Preparing and serving meals according to dietary needs Running errands (e.g., grocery shopping, collecting prescriptions) Assisting with mail, home organization, and appointment scheduling Providing pet care and plant care as needed Answering the door and supervising home maintenance visits May require you to provide or coordinate occasional transportation to appointments and social engagements Support clients with mobility and navigating their environments
Health and Safety Monitoring:
Monitor changes in the client's health and emotional state, and report concerns to the care manager Keep accurate records of client care and daily activities Ensure a safe and clean environment to reduce risks and hazards
Secondary Responsibilities:
Attend company-sponsored training and social events, including team meetings Report work hours according to office policies Communicate changes in availability or schedule in a timely manner Complete client documentation accurately and on time Participate in client satisfaction surveys and improvement initiatives Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management To succeed in this role, you should have: Compassion, patience, and empathy. Punctual, dependable, and capable of working independently. Problem solving. Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written. Previous caregiving experience, either professionally OR as a family caregiver. Availability to work shifts up to 12 hours in Cameron, MO and some surrounding areas. (example shift times could be 6am-12pm, 8am-8pm, 5pm-9pm or overnight.) Valid U.S. Driver's License, Auto Insurance & a Reliable Personal Vehicle to transport clients. Pass a Criminal and Motor Vehicle Background Check Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull for up to 8 hours.
