Direct Support (Contract)

Direct Support Staff are accountable for assisting residents with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, bed making, shaving, dressing and other related tasks; responsible for assisting with care plan activities; reports the condition and behavior of residents; and participates in rehabilitation, ambulation, and transfers; may perform environment care checks; communicates with doctors, patients, and families, and educates patients on care; may provide transport to offsite appointments.

Education:

Graduation from a standard four-year high school or equivalent (GED or High School Equivalency Diploma) or Mississippi Occupational Diploma (MOD), accompanied by MOD portfolio to document skillset. OR Completion of an 8th grade education.
