About Happy Start Daycare Happy Start Daycare is a nurturing, faith-based learning environment dedicated to supporting the earliest stages of childhood development. We believe in providing a safe, loving, and peaceful atmosphere where every child is cared for with patience, warmth, and intention. Our infant program focuses on building trust, fostering early learning, and laying the foundation for healthy emotional and physical growth. We are seeking a caring and dependable Infant Teacher to join our team and help care for and guide our youngest learners. Position Overview The Infant Teacher is responsible for creating a calm, responsive, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months. The ideal candidate is nurturing, attentive, and experienced in infant care, with a genuine passion for supporting babies through their earliest milestones. Key Responsibilities Provide daily supervision, nurturing care, and attentive interaction with infants Support early developmental milestones such as tummy time, sensory exploration, and early communication Maintain daily feeding, diapering, and sleeping routines in accordance with each child's individual needs Create a clean, safe, and emotionally supportive classroom environment Observe and document infant growth, behaviors, and developmental progress Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's routines, milestones, and needs Follow all daycare policies, safety regulations, and health guidelines Model patience, gentleness, and responsive caregiving at all times
Qualifications Minimum:
High School Diploma or GED Experience:
At least two (2) years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare facility Strong understanding of infant development, safety practices, and proper sanitation procedures Ability to maintain calm, compassionate interactions during crying, transitions, and daily routines Dependable, nurturing, and patient personality Commitment to upholding the mission and values of Happy Start Daycare Benefits Supportive, family-oriented, and faith-based environment Opportunity to play a meaningful role in a child's earliest developmental stages Professional growth and training opportunities
