The Golden Eagle Plaza provides Retirement Apartments as well as Assisted Living for those that need a little more help. We strive to maintain a caring and sensitive staff who treat each resident like a member of their own family. At the Plaza we are "Caring for Others With Compassion!" Medication Aides are responsible for passing medications to residents, documenting the task, monitoring resident's behavior/condition, and assisting Resident Assistants with other duties. Resident Assistants provide personal care services, support and assist in supervising residents. Job duties include, but are not limited to, assisting residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene and mobility, assisting residents with oxygen and other medical needs as outlined in the resident's service plan and encouraging socialization and or participation in activities among residents. Shifts and shift hours may vary. Qualifications include, but are not limited to: Training/experience as a resident assistant or personal care assistant preferred, but not required, experience or interest in working with older adults, maturity, friendliness and enjoyment in working with people, ability to establish and maintain constructive work relationships with co-workers, residents, families and visitors to the facility, maintaining confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations, and personnel, and promoting team work in providing services to the residents in all areas of their needs. Must be first aid and CPR certified within 30 days of employment. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check to be considered for the position. Wages are discussed at interview and depend on experience. Benefits include accrued vacation and sick leave after completion of a six month probationary period.
