Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to residents in a home or community care setting. This role is vital in promoting the well-being, safety, and independence of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory or dementia care. As a Caregiver, you will play a key role in delivering personalized care that enhances quality of life while fostering a warm, respectful environment. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day through active caregiving and attentive support. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts. Monitor and record vital signs, patient observations, and changes in health status to ensure timely communication with healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, ensuring proper meal planning and adherence to care plans. Administer medications accurately following HIPAA guidelines and facility protocols, maintaining detailed medication administration records. Conduct patient monitoring and provide direct support for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or other developmental disabilities. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties and adhering to infection control standards. Support residents' emotional well-being through compassionate social interaction, engaging activities, and personalized care plans. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of patient care techniques including vital signs measurement, CPR certification, first aid training, and HIPAA compliance. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs such as autism or dementia enhances your ability to deliver specialized care. Familiarity with care plans development and medication management procedures is advantageous. Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts. Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status promptly. Background in social work or hospice care is a plus for providing holistic support tailored to each resident's needs. Pay:
$15.30 - $17.30 per hour
