Qualified Professional (QP) / House Manager Position Summary The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides daily care, supervision, and skill-building support to individuals with moderate behavioral, emotional, or developmental needs residing in a Level 3 group home. DSPs play a critical role in ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment while promoting independence, dignity, and personal growth for each resident. Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Care & Supervision Provide 24/7 supervision and support to residents in accordance with individualized treatment plans and behavioral support plans. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, and housekeeping. Ensure residents' safety, well-being, and emotional support at all times. Behavioral Support Implement behavior intervention strategies consistently and professionally. Utilize de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed care practices. Accurately document behaviors, incidents, and interventions per policy and regulatory requirements. Skill Development & Engagement Support residents in developing life skills such as communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, and independent living skills. Facilitate recreational, educational, and community-based activities. Encourage positive behaviors and reinforce goals outlined in treatment plans. Documentation & Compliance Complete daily logs, progress notes, incident reports, and medication administration records accurately and on time. Follow all state regulations, licensing standards, and agency policies. Participate in audits, reviews, and quality assurance processes as required. Team Collaboration Communicate effectively with supervisors, clinicians, case managers, and other team members. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and required in-service sessions. Report concerns related to resident health, safety, or behavior promptly. Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED Adult and Child CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Intervention certification Minimum age of 18 (or per state regulation) Ability to pass background checks, and drug screening. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (if transporting residents) Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays Preferred:
Previous experience working in a Level 3 group home, residential treatment, or behavioral health setting Experience supporting individuals with behavioral challenges or developmental disabilities Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations Understanding of trauma-informed care and person-centered approaches Ability to follow structured routines and document accurately Physical ability to assist residents as needed, including standing, walking, and lifting per job requirements Work Environment Residential group home setting Exposure to behavioral challenges that may require intervention Team-oriented, structured, and supportive environment Equal Opportunity Statement We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity.
