Role:
We're looking for bilingual, compassionate, dependable professionals to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) through the NC Innovations Waiver. You'll help clients achieve personal goals, engage in their communities, and live safely and independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide person-centered care based on each client's plan Assist with daily living skills, social activities, and community outings Transporting clients Personal care if needed Follow behavioral support strategies and respond to crisis situations Document services accurately and submit reports on time Maintain professional communication with families and team members Follow all health, safety, and infection control procedures Attend all required trainings and agency meetings
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED At least 2 years of experience working with the I/DD population Strong written documentation and communication skills Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record Must pass background and healthcare registry checks Ability to lift 50 lbs and safely support clients during activities Availability to work a fixed schedule based on client service hours Preferred Training (Can Be Completed Upon Hire): CAP Core Competency Client Rights & Confidentiality Cultural Competency CPR/First Aid Crisis Prevention (CPI or similar) Bloodborne Pathogen and Infection Control Medication Administration (if applicable)
