This dynamic role involves providing personalized assistance to clients across various locations, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. If you are energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about caregiving, this position offers an exciting opportunity to grow professionally while delivering exceptional care. Duties Traveling from several cities including but not limited to Durham, Raleigh, Bahama, Henderson, etc. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans Support clients with meal preparation, cooking nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs, and maintaining a clean living environment Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility support Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction, including Alzheimer's and dementia-specific activities Maintain detailed documentation of patient observations, care provided, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare regulations Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient care techniques including CPR, first aid, and hospice or palliative care practices Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory impairments such as Alzheimer's disease is advantageous Experience in performing vital signs monitoring and administering medications accurately Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and operate patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times Demonstrated ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and collaborating effectively with healthcare teams This role is ideal for compassionate individuals eager to provide high-quality care across diverse environments.
