Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team in Raleigh, providing exceptional support and care to individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health and safety, and promote independence in a respectful, caring environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while working in a dynamic and supportive team setting. All roles are paid positions, emphasizing the value of your contribution and commitment. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA confidentiality standards Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of client spaces Observe and document patient conditions, behaviors, and progress to update care plans accurately Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility Provide companionship and emotional support, especially for individuals with dementia or memory care needs Follow established care plans designed by healthcare professionals to deliver consistent, personalized care Assist with community outings or appointments to promote social engagement and independence Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring required Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia strongly desired Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality essential Hands-on experience with assisted living or home & community care environments preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary for resident transfers or mobility assistance Certification in CPR and first aid required; additional training in Alzheimer's or hospice care is a plus Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Join us to provide compassionate care that truly makes a difference!
