our dedicated team as a Group Home Staff member, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to individuals with diverse needs. In this rewarding position, you will support residents with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive community atmosphere, empowering residents to thrive and live fulfilling lives. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health is maintained. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies. Support residents during meals by meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring nutritional needs are met while maintaining a clean dining environment. Maintain a safe environment through cleaning duties, infection control practices, and adhering to health and safety protocols. Engage in home & community care activities by driving residents to appointments or outings and supporting social interactions to enhance quality of life. Requirements Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care best practices. Certification or experience in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or Hoyer lift training are advantageous. Strong understanding of resident rights and ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, transferring residents safely, and standing for extended periods.
