Home Health Caregiver

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their home. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and the ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. Support clients in engaging in social and recreational activities to enhance their quality of life. Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to appropriate healthcare professionals. Provide assistance with mobility, including lifting and transferring clients safely. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to HIPAA regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality. Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to develop personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each client. Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive relationship with clients. Qualifications Previous experience in home community care or nursing home settings is preferred. Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting clients as necessary. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality. A compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
