Job Description

Direct Support Staff 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Staff to join our team. This role involves providing individualized support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Direct Support Staff, you will play a key role in promoting independence, inclusion, and personal growth for these individuals.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities
  • Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support individuals in maintaining a clean and organized living environment
  • Assist with meal planning, preparation
  • Helps individual with shopping-Administer medications and document any changes or concerns
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to individuals in their personal growth and development
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
but not limited to: Must be 19 years of age or older Must be able to bend, stoop, push, and pull Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift 50 pounds Criminal records check and Central Registry check A drug screen will be conducted Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language Must have a valid NE driver's license Benefits for full-time This position offers an opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others while developing valuable skills in a supportive environment.
