Family Support Worker

Duties/Responsibilities:

Transport children, youth, and family members for supervised visitation and family support. Clearly communicate expectations and provide redirection during visits. Prepare timely and thorough documentation of client interactions and progress in accordance with organizational standards. Consult regularly with supervisors regarding case status, progress, barriers, and successes. Guide clients in developing strategies to address court-mandated and family-identified goals to improve family functioning. Maintain confidential client records and uphold client confidentiality in all interactions and documentation. Represent Jenda Family Services in a professional and positive manner. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in a human services, psychology, or related field; or within two semesters of graduating with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and direct experience.

Physical Requirements:

Frequently drive clients in personal vehicle. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Work Environment:

Work primarily in family homes, potentially encountering unclean environments and exposure to smoke, insects, or clutter. Daily travel exposes workers to outdoor weather conditions.
