Greater Omaha Metro Area Position Title Skilled Caregiver II (Non-Licensed/Licensed) Company Overview Home Care Advantage, LLP is a growing in-home service provider serving clients throughout Eastern Nebraska. We are committed to providing compassionate, dependable, and professional care that supports clients in maintaining independence, dignity, and quality of life within their homes. Position Summary Home Care Advantage is seeking compassionate and reliable Skilled Caregivers to provide non-medical supportive care to clients in accordance with individualized care plans established by partnering agencies and applicable state regulations. Caregivers assist clients with activities of daily living while promoting safety, comfort, and well-being. This position requires flexibility to work day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts based on client care needs and scheduling requirements. Candidates must have experience providing skilled caregiving support, including safe transfer assistance and use of mobility equipment including hoyer lift. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Assist clients with activities of daily living according to the established care plan Provide companionship, emotion al support, and social interaction Assist with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance Safely assist clients with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and fall prevention Operate and assist with mobility and transfer equipment, including Hoyer lifts and gait belts, in accordance with safety procedures and training Provide skilled transfer assistance for clients requiring two-person assists or specialized mobility support Prepare meals and snacks according to dietary guidelines and client preferences Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas Perform light housekeeping duties including: Laundry Changing bed linens Dusting and vacuuming Cleaning bathrooms Maintaining a safe and sanitary environment Observe and report changes in client condition, behavior, or environment to the Administrator or appropriate supervisor Support multiple clients as assigned and assist with schedule coverage when needed Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and in-service education programs Assist with training and onboarding support for new employees when requested Promote agency services in a professional and positive manner Serve as a Mandatory Reporter by immediately reporting suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation in accordance with Nebraska law Complete required documentation accurately and timely Follow all agency policies, procedures, confidentiality standards, and safety protocolsSchedule Requirements Employees in this position must be willing and available to: Work day, evening, and weekend shifts Work occasional holidays as needed Accept flexible scheduling based on client care needs Travel to client homes within the assigned service area Restrictions Employees in this position may not: Administer medications Prepare medications for clients Qualifications Applicants must meet the following requirements: Bilingual Required Must be at least 19 years of age High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous caregiving or healthcare experience required Experience with Hoyer lifts, gait belts, and safe client transfer techniques required Skilled transfer assistance experience is required Must successfully complete the agency hiring process, including: Criminal background checks Adult and child abuse registry checks, as applicable Verification of three professional or personal references Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, including lifting, transferring, and repositioning clients safely Must demonstrate professionalism, dependability, maturity, and respect for client confidentiality Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, family members, and agency staff Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately Must attend required trainings and continuing education opportunities Must have reliable transportation to and from client assignments; use of a company vehicle may be available depending on location and availability Must comply with all Home Care Advantage, LLP policies and procedures Work Environment and Physical Requirements This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, repositioning, and assisting clients with mobility and personal care tasks. Caregivers may work in various home environments and must be able to safely perform assigned duties independently and as part of a care team.
