Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) and Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) to provide exceptional care to residents in various healthcare settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home & community care environments. The ideal candidates will support individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, and other special care requirements. This role involves assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents. Prior experience in long-term care or home health is highly valued. All positions are paid and offer opportunities for professional growth within the healthcare field. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and document vital signs, patient observations, and overall health status Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations Support residents with meal preparation and feeding as needed Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts to safely transfer residents Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning and infection control procedures Follow individualized care plans to meet each resident's unique needs Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance residents' quality of life Assist with specialized care such as dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, hospice, or autism-related needs Ensure compliance with all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care effectively Requirements Valid certification as a PCA or LNA; additional certifications such as CPR and First Aid are preferred Experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health, or similar environments is highly desirable Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards Ability to assist with ADLs and perform heavy lifting when necessary Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or other special needs is a plus Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends depending on assignment needs Join our team to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve by providing compassionate care tailored to each individual's needs.
