Position Summary:
To train, coach and support the individuals we serve to promote the highest level of independence, and to assist these individuals to learn new skills.
PAY:
$19/hr.
HOURS:
Saturday:
7am-3pm
Tuesday:
3pm-9pm Follow program schedule and daily duties as outlined by team and program manager Responsible for consistent implementation of resident programming training (
Service Agreement Goals & Objectives:
daily living skills. Responsible for appropriate record keeping and report writing and timely/accurate documentation Assist individuals in Activities of Daily Living, including but not limited to providing personal care and ensuring appropriate attire is always worn. Encourage utilization of self-advocacy skills to foster independence Ensure general health and safety of client(s) and all environments as assigned daily Supervise residents' self-administration and/or the distribution and administration of prescribed medications Attend ongoing training and meetings as required Responsible for supervision of residents' medical/evaluative appointments and accompaniment of residents to such appointments Provide transportation for residents in vehicles approved by Agency Responsible for remaining on shift until adequate coverage can be provided as determined by the house manager Responsible for aiding in the general upkeep of residence, furnishings and equipment Adhere to the NH state law requiring mandated reporting of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation Other duties as assigned by supervisor Demonstrate a commitment to the Moore Center's values Comply with all state, agency and department policies and procedures Demonstrate a strong emphasis on customer service skills, both to our clients and all staff Maintain a positive attitude including the use of positive language while working with the individuals we serve and team members. Ability to individualize the supports needed for the individuals we serve Ability to work independently, as part of a team, or in a group setting to increase the skills of the individuals we serve and their quality of life in the community Provide personal care and support, including but not limited to physical assistance Maintain professional demeanor in emotionally charged situations Ability to write detailed accounts of incidents and behaviors Ability to successfully complete medication training if applicable. Demonstrates flexibility in scheduling and daily assignments The ability to master new software and Microsoft Office, including
Word, Excel, Outlook Requirements:
$100,000/300,00 Automobile Liability Insurance Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) plus minimum of 1 year experience in human services required; 3 years' experience preferred Valid driver's license and access to a safe operating vehicle during scheduled working hours Criminal, motor vehicle, and Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services background checks that meet agency standards Required state training through Relias Learning or equivalent preferred Completion of Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) training part 1 It is considered a bona fide occupational qualification (BFOQ) for direct support staff /professionals to accompany clients to religious ceremonies as dictated by the clients' personal religious preferences
