Job Description
We are currently growing and looking for additional PCA's, LNA's, Med Tech's, and anyone with med training to join our fantastic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in resident care, ensuring the highest standards of service and support to residents in various settings. This role requires a compassionate individual who can work effectively with diverse resident populations, including those in hospice care. In assisted living settings, we count on Med Techs to Assist residents with their medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. You are expected to be a companion to our residents and provide them with consistent, trustworthy, gentle care. You will also be working with our residents who often need someone to gracefully assist them with duties such as:
- Assisting with dressing and undressing
- Assisting with eating if required
- Assisting with laundry and other related tasks
- Assisting with transferring between surfaces such as beds and chairs or chairs and walkers
- Helping with general cleaning duties
- Assisting with personal hygiene such as brushing their hair and occasionally help them bathe
- Report to a nurse, supervisor or to the administrator of any changes in a resident's physical condition, behavior, or appearance
- Solve routine resident problems, promote healthy lifestyle habits, and provide general companionship, engagement and thoughtful advice.
- Document the services delivered to residents, in accordance with policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be able to handle any of these circumstances with a gentle touch and a cheerful attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Excellent judgment and proven discretion in medication assistance
