Our mission is to help dogs become the best version of themselves through training, love and care, so that they can find their forever homes. Our work environment is fast-paced, fun, and very rewarding. Second Chance Ranch Rescue is looking for a part time weekend Dog Care Giver (Kennel Worker) in New Boston, NH. Must be reliable, punctual, and a strong communicator. Must have your own reliable transportation. We are looking for a Dog Care Giver (Kennel Worker) to care for our dogs and help in the operations of the facility. The kennel worker is responsible for cleaning, feeding, exercising, and assisting with other tasks that are related to the care of our kennels and dogs. Duties Ensure that the facility is clean and dogs are exercised. Clean crates, runs, and facility Feed animals (feed, water, change food/water) Administer medications Maintain inventory of supplies. Maintain a positive attitude with customers and co-workers. Report any animal concerns or incidents to the manager or supervisor immediately. Supervise dogs when not in use of their kennel or cage (feed, bathe, play with them, etc.). Exercise and play with dogs according to provided directions Bathe dogs Host meet and greets or other appointments Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor. Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Kennel Assistant, Veterinary Technician, Animal Care Giver, Pet Sitter in animal care or related field. Ability to balance multiple tasks and follow directions Ability to work well with others (teamwork) Ability to work independently Ability to communicate effectively through different communication methods (text, oral, etc.) Ability to stay calm during animal activities (exercise, meal time, etc.). Ability to work independently with minimal direction (after extensive training) Dog handling experience Dog care and kennel cleaning experience Customer service experience Strong communication Equine experience is a plus!
