  • Part-time Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Caregiver (Afternoons) to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional support and care to residents in a vibrant senior living or assisted living community.

As a Caregiver (Afternoons), you will play a vital role in assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being during afternoon shifts. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact while developing valuable skills in long-term care and personal support. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a warm and engaging environment. Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring dietary needs are met according to individual care plans. Support clients with memory care needs related to Alzheimer's disease and dementia, implementing behavior management strategies as directed. Assist with transportation or driving residents to appointments or community outings when required. Skills Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care best practices. Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively in emergency situations. Strong skills in assisting with ADLs and providing personal care with compassion and patience. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring direct support. Competence in using EMR systems for documentation and record-keeping. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, and families. Valid driver's license for driving responsibilities; clean driving record preferred.
