This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for residents through attentive caregiving, assistance with daily activities, and fostering a safe, respectful environment. The ideal candidate will bring energy, empathy, and a proactive approach to caregiving, ensuring each individual receives personalized attention tailored to their unique needs. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams Support medication administration and help maintain accurate care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to promote health and well-being Engage residents through social activities, companionship, and emotional support to foster a positive environment Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning and laundry Follow safety protocols during patient transfers or heavy lifting tasks, ensuring resident safety at all times Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), and hospice or palliative care practices Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance are advantageous Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs is desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and family members Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life This role offers an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals passionate about caregiving.
