Job Description
Person Centered Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Companion/Caregiver to provide essential support and companionship to an adult male in need. This role involves assistance with daily living activities, ensuring his comfort, and promoting his overall well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of individual rights and be skilled in working with individuals with disabilities requiring direct support. Duties Provide support with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. Foster a safe and supportive environment by respecting individual rights and promoting independence. Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance quality of life. Assist Person Centered Care with ensuring appropriate care tailored to his needs. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive information. Monitor health status and report any changes to your supervisor. Collaborate with family members and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care. Requirements Ability to complete and pass background check and drug screening. High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent. CPR and First Aid certification that meets the ECC Guidelines. Valid driver's license, own reliable vehicle, and excellent driving record. Previous experience in caregiving or a related field. Knowledge of direct support techniques. Understanding individual rights and the ability to advocate for clients effectively. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others lead fulfilling lives. Ability to perform basic cooking tasks for meal preparation as needed.
