In Home Caregiver Mercy always care Albuquerque, NM 87119 $17.00 - $26.33 an hour - Part-time $17.00 - $26.33 an hour - Part-time Overview Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing support with daily activities and personal care. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to provide personalized, respectful, and professional care within clients' homes, promoting independence and well-being. As an essential part of our caregiving team, you will deliver attentive assistance, foster a safe environment, and build trusting relationships with those you serve. Your dedication will help enhance quality of life for seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, mental state, and overall condition; report changes to healthcare professionals as needed Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences while maintaining proper food safety Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers to ensure safety during movement Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic environment Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being Requirements Proven experience in home & community care or assisted living environments; group home experience is a plus Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of health deterioration or distress Valid CPR and First Aid certification; additional certifications in hospice care or dementia/Alzheimer's care are advantageous Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient transfer and mobility assistance Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and HIPAA regulations Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to caregiving Join us in providing exceptional home health care that fosters independence, dignity, and comfort.
