Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team in Bernalillo, providing exceptional support and personalized care to individuals across various living environments. In this vital role, you will empower residents to maintain their independence, promote their well-being, and enhance their quality of life through attentive, respectful, and professional caregiving. Whether working in assisted living communities, nursing homes, or home care settings, you will be a key contributor to creating a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for those you serve. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while developing your skills in senior care and disability support. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health status is maintained and report any concerns promptly Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities within electronic medical record (EMR) systems Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care techniques and behavior management strategies Support residents with assisted living needs by preparing nutritious meals, assisting with feeding when required, and maintaining a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members to develop personalized care plans that reflect each resident's unique needs and preferences Skills Proven experience in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or retirement homes; home & community care experience is highly valued Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care techniques, and behavior management strategies Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently and respond effectively in emergency situations Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate documentation of resident information and care activities Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with residents with disabilities or developmental disabilities Competence in vital signs measurement, medication administration, and assisting with ADLs using proper techniques and safety protocols Experience operating mobility aids like Hoyer lifts and driving responsibilities for community outings or appointments is a plus Join us in delivering compassionate caregiving that truly makes a difference!
