Caregiver

A caregiver plays a vital role in supporting individuals who need assistance with daily living. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of residence while promoting dignity and independence . Caregivers assist with activities of daily living such as bathing dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. They may also help with meal feeding, medication, or administering medication and documenting care. In settings like an or memory care caregiver's also provide companionship monitor for changes and behavior or health respond to emergencies and communicate efficiently with families and healthcare professionals. To be successful in the role caregivers should have strong, compassion, patience, and reliability. Good communication skills, the ability to follow care plans and a willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends or holidays are also important.
